Pyrite and Sphalerite (Gibraltar Mine, Naica, Saucillo Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico)

SGD 133.50
Only 1 available

If the name 'Naica' sounds familiar, that's because it is where the famous Naica Selenites come from.

Yes, that mine, the closed mine that is flooded and so hot that people die within 10 minutes of being in there, even with air-conditioned suits. Specifically, those are two caves in that one mine: The Cave of Swords and The Cave of Crystals.

This pyrite specimen, on the other hand, comes from the Gibraltar mine, and is known for its calcites, pink gypsums, fluorites and pyrites. Mined in the 1980s-era, this specimen also has some sphalerite on the side.
