Pyrite concretions are masses of pyrite which have grown in or around shale. They are formed in vugs, whereby the ebb and flow of water caused a tumbling, resulting in the formation of a round-ish concretion. Each and every concretion has its own unique pattern and shape. Some concretions come with micro-pyrite. This has large nuggets of pyrite, very unusual!
