About this specimen:

55 × 82 × 40mm

The Pyjama Pocket is a notable, limited-release fluorite discovery by UK Mining Ventures (UKMV) from the famous Diana Maria Mine in Weardale, County Durham, England. Found in September 2025 within the Greenbank Vein (in the furthest northern drivage) at the Diana Maria Mine.

It's named after the chequered trousers worn by the miner, Harry. Now this sounds like a fun person, right?? 🤣

The specimens feature isolated, very gemmy, darker emerald-green twinned crystals, hosted on beds of smaller, paler emerald-green frosted intergrown cubic crystals.
The matrix is typically a greyish to orange-grey claystone, sometimes accented with small tarnished and rounded cubo-octahedral galena crystals.

Exhibits intense daylight UV fluorescence, characteristic of Weardale fluorites.

Released in May 2026, this pocket represents one of the final significant fluorite finds from the Diana Maria Mine as UKMV transitions operations toward the Boltsburn Mine

Note: These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
