Pumpkin Pie Pocket Fluorite (Diana Maria Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, England) - 1126_PPPF2
About this specimen:
140g (including base)
69 x 56 x 29mm
———
The Pumpkin Pie Pocket is the latest mineral discovery announced in October 2026 by UK Mining Ventures (UKMV) from the Diana Maria Mine in UK.
Found near the Naughty Gnome Pocket on the River Catcher Vein within the Diana Maria Mine, it was discovered in April 2026 and introduced around the autumn/Halloween season 2026.
It is considered a prime example of epimorphic Quartz crystal overgrowth on large Fluorite cubes and features individual and intergrown Fluorite cubes measuring 4 to 5 cm on edge. The Fluorite is almost completely covered by a 0.5 to 1 cm layer of glassy, pyramidal Quartz crystals with white base layers and colourless terminations. Yellow, orange, brown, and black iron oxide inclusions are sometimes trapped inside the Quartz layer, often appearing in patches that give it a layered, "pumpkin pie" look.

Note: These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
