Preseli Bluestone, Tumblestones (‘A’ Grade) (Preseli Hills, Wales, UK)

SGD 24.83

This is a very unique and rare rock that is made up multiple minerals that include Dolerite, Feldspar, Diopside, Biotite, Quartz, Hematite, and Ilmenite. The only known locality of this stone is within both the Preseli Hill and mountain ranges in western Wales. Depending on the combination in the piece you find, some are more green, others with spots of blue, and others more white.

The term “Bluestone” is more of a marketing name, for convenience, and it is used for any and all loose rock found in the Preseli area.

The mysterious thing about this stone is how its past is shrouded in controversy. For e.g. the famous Stonehenge in England is made up of 43 blocks of Preseli Bluestone, each weighing approximately 4000 to 8000 pounds. It has been dated back to 3100 BC. What makes it so controversial is how it even got to Wiltshire, which is 150 miles away from the Preseli hills.

Stonehenge aside, archaeologists have unearthed a large number of ancient tools and weapons carved directly out of Preseli Bluestone. These items have also been found all throughout mainland England. However, being such a hard material, scientists have wondered about the intelligence level and crafting skills needed to work this mineral. It is stronger and harder than Granite and is one of the strongest materials in the world!

Energy-wise, Preseli Bluestone possesses old earth energy from the changes to the geography, cataclysmic powers. Despite this, its energy is both strong yet subtle. It’s energy type is transformative, and is often used when meditating to help one look inwards and work on one’s personal well-being. Emotional healing leads to healing of mental scars, eventually culminating in physical transformation.

———

Note 1: These were not carved out of the Stonehenge blocks themselves. If you find themselves in that area, please do not hack off your own piece in that way. Please do not pick up anything from any archaeological sites either. The reason why its so difficult to get these pieces, ethically, is because one would have to look for loose pieces on the ground across the Preseli hills, far away from the Stonehenge site

Note 2: Because these are really, really light, do consider buying other things alongside this. If you do, I’ll be able to give you a discount on the tumble.

Note 3: These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this..
