50 x 50mm

A lodestone is a piece of magnetite or titanomagnetite iron ore having an extremely intense remanent magnetization; it is nature's only permanent magnet. This magnetization intensity is larger than could be acquired in any iron ore by any known natural mechanism through exposure to just the Earth's magnetic field.

That's also why these pieces coming with iron filings - to show you how they are attracted to the lodestone! 🧲

Only a small amount of all magnetite is naturally magnetized and considered lodestone.

Note: You needn't worry about "crushing" or "breaking" the iron filing points! They seem fragile, but you can just pick them up and sprinkle them back onto the lodestone. The magnetic fields created around the lodestone will attract the iron filings back onto itself, and form a new spiky pattern!

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals.

These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
