Lamprophyllite "Stars" (Kola Peninsula, Murmansk Oblast, Russia)

SGD 89.00
Only 1 available

From the Greek meaning "Shining Leaf", Lamprophyllite is a rare Titanium silicate mineral. Its name comes from the leaf-life sheets in which the crystal forms.

Not a lot is known about this mineral, scientifically. This is because, for the longest time, specimens were only available from Russia, and was studied only by scientists under the USSR regime. Now, though, more pockets are being discovered. Hopefully, with this, we'll get to understand it a little better.

Note, whilst it looks similar to astrophyllite, it is not the same material.

49 x 27mm

Market Rate: $150+

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals.

These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
