Blueberry fluorites!

Fun name, fun shape!

These beauties come from Inner Mongolia - I will never cease to be amazed by how that region can produce such a wide variety of fluorites, each completely different from the next.

These blueberry-shaped fluorites grew on druzy, micro-crystalline quartz. The quartz themselves are secondary crystallisations on individual quartz points. The fluorites themselves have a lovely deep and rich blue color with a botyroidal shape (hence the nickname "blueberry"). This, contrasted with the snowy white quartz is visually striking!
