Bergmännisch Glück Honey Fluorite Collector's Specimen (Bergmännisch Glück Mine, Annaberg mining district, Saxony, Germany) - 2024-PBMG2

SGD 588.00
Sold Out

81 × 60mm

Dark Honey Gold cubes, with more pronounced lovely dark violet banding on the edges with a clear outer layer.

This is one of five collector specimen pieces that we’ve managed to snag before they were released at the 2024 Munich Mineral Show! And because we rescued them from the show, they are going at below the show prices!

Bergmännisch Glück Honey Fluorite’s are the OG Honey fluorites - older and more honey-syrupy than Honey Bear Pocket fluorites and other suchlike.

The Bergmännisch Glück Mine is a historical one - it is a silver and cobalt mine, worked intermittently during the 18th century. It was reopened again after World War II to be used for haulage and ventilation purposes, because the mines nearby were mined for uranium (cold war drama). Now, alas, the mines are flooded, which means getting beautiful fluorites from it is difficult/impossible, yet again 😖
