About this specimen:

Perky-sized!

———

This specimen posseses very, very white calcites on a bed of slightly beige, rhombohedral dolomite. It is also sprinkled with tiny, rich golden, translucent barite.

This comes from the Newfoundland Zinc Mine, which has been closed for a long time. It was a historically important mine - during its operation from 1975 to 1990, it produced over 7 million tonnes of oreimportantly, we don't often see great specimens from that mine.

Note: These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
