Aquamarine (Erongo Region, Namibia) - 2312-AQ-N1

SGD 74.00
Only 1 available

Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for seawater and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. It is a type of beryl existing in shades of blue and green-blue.

The best gems combine high clarity with limpid transparency and intensity of hue.

We've brought in tiny aquamarines before, but they were really miniscule and with very little colour. It's taken us some time and luck to find these pieces which combine transparency, colour, structure (for some pieces) and cost effectiveness.

About this piece:

25 x 19 x 11mm

Light blue hue with high translucency. A broken off piece with one smooth side preserved.
